Tex Smith Lake is about 22 miles west of Glennallen and is said to be stocked with rainbow trout. It has a gravel parking lot big enough to park a truck and trailer. Platted roads, giving legal access. State and Borough land at the end of the road. Trail access across the platted road. They are located less than as mile (as the crow fly's) on the other side of the lake. The access trail between Meteor Lake and Tex Smith Lake can be muddy in spring and summer and requires a good ATV.
