Every Realtor wants a quick sale, an easy transaction that is as stress free as possible.

Our team does everything within our power to exceed these expectations for our clients. However, every property, homeowner, and situation is unique, and listing a home it’s not always as straightforward as you might think.

Last summer, we listed a triplex and got an offer for our client in 14 days!

Everything was looking great and running extremely smooth, until about three days before the closing date.

We got a call from the title company saying that we wouldn’t be able to close because the carport extended over the property line, by matter of about four feet.

My client could not extend the closing date because he was due to leave the country for…

When faced with difficult situations you have two choices: succumb or overcome.

To succumb is to fail to resist pressure, temptation, or some other negative force. It is, quite literally, a failure by giving up and letting your environment control you, your surroundings, and your future.

To overcome is to overpower or overwhelm, succeed in dealing with a problem, defeat an opponent and to prevail.

We are given these choices everyday, and must face them head on.

Currently, there are still restrictions on who is considered "essential" and what businesses can operate. I know that this is a point of contention however, I believe all businesses are essential in some way, especially when it comes to local economies. And, of course, people are…

Even though we are in interesting times with a volatile financial market, real estate is still growing! I just put together one of my biggest deals ever this week.

We are now pending on a $2,000,000 commercial property in the Valley. We’re working with a developer to create a new project and will be releasing more info about that in coming months.

There are tons of ways to look at every situation. We choose to seek the positive and the opportunity.

Last spring, I listed a home with a less than ideal floor plan.

I knew it could be a tough sell, but despite the unique design, I found a buyer for our client within 30 days.

We quickly came to an agreement on which repairs needed to take place before closing, and thought to myself, “This is going great and will be such a smooth sale.”

Then, during the repairs, something came up that would significantly increase the cost of repairs.

One of the action items was to install a sump pump in the basement. (A sump pump helps to keep excess water from accumulating, and pumps water to the exterior away from the home.)

And, since this home was built in the 50's, the basement was basically... a solid block of concrete.

This…

I’ve come to realize, most people don’t know what it really takes for a Realtor or company to be successful.

The public mostly sees the agent who is out selling. However, what you don’t always see is: the admin, marketing, accounting, HR, transactions and other departments that keep your real estate transactions moving.

We built the team around the idea that we can all do more together and provide a better service for you, the client.

Because of that, we can provide you with better marketing, back end support, updates throughout the process, and more attention to both your personal needs and the needs of your transaction.

You win every time by working with our team because our agents aren’t worried about the details, and can focus on…

We are reading through the book "Be Obsessed or Be Average" by Grant Cardone. We picked this book a few weeks back before a lot of the major changes took place, but the timing couldn't be more relevant.

Now is the time to get ahead, even if the world seems to be upside down.

This book is not for the faint of heart. It's harsh and well... sometimes just offensive, but the message is timely. If you aren't obsessed with what you do, you aren't allowing yourself to make a big impact on your space.

We'd love to know your thoughts.

I have always had a passion for physical fitness -- running several marathons, interstate bike races and other events. This obsession for self improvement contributed greatly to my success throughout my eight years as a Wildland Firefighter.

As some of you may already know, I have been training the last year for a bodybuilding show. I put in hours of work, months of dieting and calorie restriction, early mornings and massive amounts of willpower to make this happen. Training for this show was a true challenge that took sheer discipline, determination and grit.

As you might have guessed...

The show has been canceled.

Do I feel like all my work was for nothing? Absolutely not.

Here are some lessons I’ve learned along the way:

A client once told me that he was interested in selling his home, but didn’t know how he could because he was out of state and concerned about not being present for the transaction.

I assured him, we’ve done many sales like this in the past by using technology to our advantage and keeping great communication throughout the process. After providing more information, he agreed to give it a try.

Over the course of several weeks, we had his property listed, marketed, sold and closed, keeping the transaction simple and smooth for him.

I draw a similar parallel when faced with today’s challenges.

We know that this world is changing faster than ever. Instead of resisting the change, we embrace it because it allows us to come up with creative solutions.

Flipping homes is more than just a business model.

Taking a property and sprucing it up has the power to revitalize a neighborhood, raise the price of homes in the area, create more curb appeal to move faster on the market, and last but not least, make your living area more homey and inviting.

Here, we take a look at 11519 Dawn Street in Eagle River.

This home was listed and sold by Matthew Lindsay at Precision Home Group in the summer 2019, then it was completely transformed and put back on the market for sale by Stacy Hague at EXP Realty.

See the before and after photos below.
